Retouching hair in Photoshop requires a lot of patience and skill. Thankfully, there are amazing tutorials out there to help you master it, and this one comes from Pratik Naik. In his latest video, he’ll guide you through his hair retouching process and show you all the tips, tricks and secrets to help you nail it.
With almost an hour length, this tutorial is quite comprehensive and detailed. Pratik uses a beautiful image by Kate Strucka, showing you step by step of how he retouched the model’s hair. Keep in mind, though, that you need some prior knowledge in Photoshop to be able to follow along. Pratik doesn’t explain concepts of the program itself, so if you’re a total newbie, you may not be able to follow along. Still, that doesn’t mean that you can’t watch it and pick up some tricks that you’ll apply when you master the basics. Pratik has also shared the layered Photoshop file f the image. You can download it, open it in Photoshop, and follow along. I personally think this is the best way to learn, at least it works for me.
