The lens is constructed from 16 lens elements in 11 groups. Low Dispersion and aspherical lens elements minimize chromatic aberrations and distortion, which provides high-quality images. The lens also allows tele-macro photography, with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.9.
Despite the focal length, Tamron 18-400mm F/3.5-6.3 is a light and compact lens. Still, it’s equipped with the accurate and quiet AF drive system, as well as Vibration Compensation system.
