The New York Post writes that Causi was born in Brooklyn, growing up in the borough’s Bensonhurst neighborhood. He joined The Post quite a while ago, in 1994. He started as a photo messenger, then became photo editor and eventually became a full-time photojournalist for this publication Causi photographed numerous games of major sports teams: the Yankees, Mets, Giants, Jets, Knicks, Rangers and many more. He was loved and respected by teams and their trainers. Hearing about his death, many of them started saying their goodbyes via Twitter. Causi is survived by his wife, Romina, and their two small children: John and Mia. He is also survived by his parents and his two sisters.
